Description
Up for auction is a United Sparky 1962 shuffle alley. If you are looking for a project game do not read any further, this game has been restored cosmetically and cleaned and adjusted mechanically. Let me start with the cosmetics, all wood trim has been sanded down and restained with multiple coats of varnish, even the red stripes in the wood have been redone, the sides have been sanded and repainted with the original graphics and colors to make it look even better then it did in 1962.the lower glass is almost perfect and the upper glass looks great as i touched up a couple of the red areas that were starting to fade.it was touched up  from behind and you can not tell. The glass has vibrant colors and really makes the game pop. The formica alley is in excellant shape and i replaced the side cork rails. I replaced the instruction cards that are at the front of the game and the legs were repainted. The coin door is there with a new lock and all the parts are there but i have the game set for free play. The game has been gone through mechanically and plays and scores correctly.the game breaks down into 2 pieces with the back piece being 74 inches tall by 30 inches wide and 15 inches deep, the alley section is 28 inches wide by 8 feet long.It probably weighs about 250 lbs.The game is a 6 player game and it plays 7 different games with each one challenging and different. 1)Line-up You have to time your throw to try to get 2 or 3 numbers to line up on the lower glass.you get 50 points for a strike and 30 for a spare but if you can line up 2 or 3 numbers in a line you get 20 points for 2 and 30 points for 3 in a line.very challenging to get your marks and time it to get a certain number that flashes across the alley 2)Flash-You have to time your throw to get the most points with valuesfrom 30-80 for a strike and 20-60 for a spare 3)Regulation-Which plays and scores just as regular bowling 4)Bonus- you get bonus points that you collect at the end of the game.frames 1-7 you get 30 for a strike and 20 for a spare ,frames 8-10 you get 60 for a strike and 40 for a spare. For each strike you get 40 bonus points and 20 for a spare. At the end when you collect the bonus points you get 100% of your bonus with a strike and 50% of it for a spare 5) Spares - Is where random spares come up and you get 1 throw to pick it up,if you pick it up you get 30 points if not then the pin total 6)Special- You get 30 for a strike and 20 for a spare,if you have 1 strike up already then you get 60 for the next strike or 40 for a spare,if you have 2 strikes up you get 80 for the next strike and 60 for a spare. 7)Advance- Frames 1-4-7 you get 30 for strike and 20 for a spare, frames 2-5-8-9 you get 60 for a strike and 40 for a spare, frames 3-6-10 you get 80 for a strike and 60 for a spare. Winning bidder can pick the game up or i offer door to door delivery via North American van Lines for a flat fee of 399.00.The game will leave my facility in working order but can not be responsible for what happens after shipping.
